A Little About our President -

Matthew Hudson, PhD

As President and founder of both WooHoo, Inc. and WooHoo University, Matthew has chosen to put all of his experience and research into practice - a consulting practice that is! Matthew's career has been spent studying and developing corporate cultures. He has drawn some unique conclusions that can be found in his soon to be released book, Culturiffic!. This book outlines the steps a company must take in order to establish a service culture inside their organization. This book is currently being turned into a professional seminar series that will be available in 1998. Much of the time spent studying the Disney Corporation is shared in this book and seminar.

In looking for unique and powerful ways to change behaviors of a culture and its peoples, Matthew discovered the latest training technology - experiential training. This emotionally engaging methodology is remarkable at getting to the heart of the matter and leaves a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of the students. As you can see from the picture below, Matt's not afraid to dress up for the part to make the learning fun. One of his favorite quotes is from Walt Disney who said "I would much rather entertain someone in hopes of training them than to train someone in hopes of entertaining them." Matthew instills the "whatever it takes" mentality in all of the WooHoo faculty.

Matthew spent his time helping companies manage behavior change and culture shift within their organizations. Matt has been featured at several conferences as a keynote presenter on topics like, behavior change, corporate universities, and corporate culture. He has an extensive background (19 years!) in retail and sales training and is considered to be a leading authority on corporate culture and corporate universities. Matt has been honored with several awards for training innovation with his ideas on corporate universities through such organizations as the American Society of Training and Development as well as being named Training Director of the Year.

Matthew holds his PhD in Organizational Behavior. The thesis from this effort has been "doctored" into a book, Culturiffic!.
